Tulsa Mayfest is set for May 17-20 this year and will celebrate its 40th birthday.
GuRuStu Group is excited to be a part of Mayfest once again this year.

Last year we designed a new mobile app for Mayfest (mayfestmobile.com). The app allows visitors to quickly fine show times, food vendors, and artist locations.

This year GuRuStu Group designed a new website for Mayfest (TulsaMayfest.org). Plus, in honor of Mayfest’s 40th Anniversary, GuRuStu Group is producing a 3D “move music wonderwall”, sponsored by Cricket Communications. We hope you will come out for Mayfest and watch as the 22-story, 320 S. Boston Building is morphed into a three-dimensional work of moving design.

It was a fun night in downtown Tulsa at El Guapo’s as friends and local celebrities gathered together to wait tables and show their support of this very worthy cause.

Judi Grove (Tallulah) of Turn Tulsa Pink organized this event (and many others) to increase awareness and to raise much needed funds to fight cancer.

Stuart McDaniel Honored at the 2012 Class of The Tulsa 40

At 23 years old, our very own Stuart McDaniel, founder of GuRuStu Group, was the youngest to be honored at the 2012 class of The Tulsa 40. Julie Chin, former KJRH News meterorologist emceed the event held at the downtown Hyatt Regency Tulsa Hotel.

More than 120 young professionals were nominated by mentors, peers and community leaders for this honor. A panel of judges selected the top 40 honorees based on their professional and personal achievements. We are very proud of Stuart’s accomplishments.

Recently, the Tulsa Community Foundation began their 501 TechNet Program, designed to assist eligible non-profits with branding, marketing, and website design.

TCF partnered with the GuRuStu Group to develop a streamlined process that yields websites which incorporate recognized best practices specific to the non profit sector.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners in the 2011 Top Dog fundraising competition.

Congratulations to Mary Green, Daniele Holland and Karishma Caiado for being the top fundraisers in the online fundraising competition for the Tulsa SPCA. Also pictured are County Commissioner Karen Keith, Beverly McDaniel and Stuart McDaniel of the GuRuStu Group.

1st place this year went to Mary Green, owner of K9-Manners & More, who raised an awesome $2,913.50 for the Tulsa SPCA.

Tulsa Website Design Recognized– GuRuStu Group Recognized on ‘One Page Love’

The GuRuStu Group was pleased to learn we were recognized on the website One Page Love, the ultimate showcase of one page websites. We were recognized for our work on the Joe Momma’s Back to School Battle of the Bands website. This website was a one page site designed and donated to promote an annual event held in downtown Tulsa by business owner, Blake Ewing. The event features sets by local high school bands and through paid votes raises much needed funds to benefit Youth Services of Tulsa.

We are so pleased it was recognized on One Page Love and even more pleased with the success of the event. Many, many thanks to all those who attended and helped raise money for Youth Services of Tulsa. Good luck to all the bands as they go back to school this year. Everyone was so great. We were impressed with your talents. Keep practicing for next year!

Mayfest 2011 was a huge success and stats on the mobile map show it was a great success as well.

Visitors to Mayfest were able to utilize the map’s search feature to locate their favorite food vendors, their favorite artists, as well as, view the festival’s entertainment schedule.
